Bent HDMI This new version of SUPRA HDMI connector is made in metal, and is very easy to attach/detach. There is a plastic moulding over the soldered part that fits exactly in the metal housing. (See pictures to the left.)  Two versions are provided with all of these HDMI interconnects. One is bent, one is straight: use the one that fits your setup best.� This HDMI interconnect series will be available from early 2009.SUPRA HF100SUPRA HF100 is designed for longer cable runs and higher resolution for hardware with HDMI v1.3 and DVI interface. The cores in SUPRA HF100 are insulated with Gas Blown Polypropylene, which offers low capacitance and high velocity factor. The digital pair is impedance stable over the entire frequency range, up to 600 MHz, (Compare HDMI v1.3, 340MHz).

HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface. SUPRA HDMI-HDMI is a high performance, single link HDMI cable, especially designed for digital video and audio over long lengths. The cable is terminated with overmoulded quality HDMI connectors at both ends or else as an HDMI to DVI-D. The cable is a single link. The gold plating of the pins is as thick as 0.8 micrometres for longevity and reliability of first rate connection. DVI and HDMI are compatible for video signals. But DVI is video alone whereas HDMI conveys both Video and Audio. HF100 HDMI / DVI cable SUPRA HF100 is specially designed for use over long runs and high resolutions with HDMI and DVI hardware.HF100 Design  The cores of SUPRA HF100 are insulated with PE for low capacitance and high velocity factor. The digital pairs are impedance stable over the entire frequency range up to 600MHz. The pairs are twisted with different pitch in order to minimize crosstalk. SUPRA HF100 cable is double shielded. The most important cores are separately screened and in addition there is a common shielding of all cores. The shieldings provide efficient protection from electro-magnetic radiation.

We have recently received some questions concerning HDMI v1.3a and whether Supra HF100 HDMI cables match these specifications.As of Spring 2007, all HF100 HDMI cables up to 8m in length are v1.3 compliant.Previously, before spring 2007, only HF100 HDMI cables up to 6m were v1.3 compliant. This is because, when our 8m HF100 HDMI cables were tested, it was found that it only just failed to meet the v1.3 compliance test. As such, it was decided to change the inner parts of the HDMI connector, because it allowed Supra 8m HF100 HDMI cables to conform to "v1.3" standard. This for us was important because, after the 1m and 2m length cables, the 8m is our most "requested" length.
These new low resistance connectors have been fitted to all Supra HF100 HDMI cables since approx Spring 2007.This should not cause any concern for customers who have bought HF100 cables before Spring 2007, because all lengths up to 6m, passed the v1.3 test even before the connector was changed....and of course, subsequenetly, since Spring 2007, all cables up to 6m in length are still compliant....!Similarly, it has only been within the last 6 months or so, that "v1.3 compliance" has become "important", due to the huge number of inferior cables that were being marketed at very low cost and which, when used at 1080p, were offering very poor performance....this was because for most people, "HDMI" is just a generic term for "high definition" and yet, many of these cables were most definitely, "low definition".As such, only since May 2008, has the HF100 HDMI packaging been updated to show which of our cables are v1.3 compliant. So, if you find a store has sold you a HF100 HDMI cable in any length less than (or equal to) 6m, then even if it doesn't say it on the packaging, it is still v1.3 compliant, (as long as it says it is a Supra HF100 cable on the cable itself).
