In order to reach these goals, it became obvious that we would need to depart from traditional methodologies.The S-9 speaker, the result of a most productive collaboration with SP Technology Loudspeakers, Inc., is poised to establish a new reference at a remarkably reasonable price. The cabinet is made of 23 layers of birchplywood in a stacked configuration. Each layer is precision cut with CNC cutters. This technology createes an extremely rigid and resonance free chassis. Inside the chassis there are specially constructed chambers to prevent standing waves.On top of this extreme cabinet design there are numerous patented solutions, like the tweeter/midrange waveguide construction, custom designed woofers and external crossover to name a few. These solutions make for a speaker that is extremely correct in timing and phase.S-9 offers HiFi performance hard to find in speakers twice its cost.
