For the past 3 years, VPI has focused on new/entry level audiophiles and getting them to embrace vinyl for the first time. With the Prime, we wanted to get back to our roots and focus on the existing audience with a table that offers quality hi-end sound and takes advantage of our improvements in technology. We believe it is important to show the industry that we will still be making new turntable and designs whether Harry is in the factory or poolside! The Prime is Mat Weisfeld's first solo design on a table, with Harry's approval as well as input from the rest of the VPI staff. The shape of the Prime is meant to have a curvier and sexier look compared to the "classic" look of our tables over the past 10 years, while at same time having the footprint to accommodate the space needed for a 10 inch 3D arm.

The Prime Signature is the next step up from the Prime, which took the world by storm 2 years ago during its initial release. It features an upgraded JMW 10-3D Reference arm in a “metallic black” gloss finish with Nordost Reference wire. The chassis consists of an aluminum plate sandwiched between a composite material for improved damping. Due to the additional weight of the table, we upgraded the feet to our Classic Signature feet. In addition, both the motor housing and all Delrin posts and armboards were upgraded to a heftier stainless steel.

The VPI Avenger table was originally a project started by Harry over 12 years ago. In the process of the design the project was dropped in mid-production due to excessive demand by HR-X customers which left the design and proto-type chassis to be mothballed. The good news about the abandoned design is Harry instead shifted his focus into starting and completing the VPI Classic Turntable. Shortly after the development of the Prime, and while cleaning out the warehouse in preparation for a dealer training event, the forgotten Avenger and its designs were re-discovered! The working name was the "Tri-Pod Project". Being newly motivated, Harry has finally put in motion the table that will be his master piece! The unique iterations that had been crafted from the original process were completed as Special Editions. The Table: The VPI Avenger chassis is three layers of bonded acrylic/aluminum/acrylic, with damping material between layers, locked in by 3 isolation steel corner posts, 3 bolts, and the massive bearing assembly. The corner posts which hold the tonearms (up to three will fit) have adjustable machined knobs giving the user the ability to easily raise and lower the height to level the table. Fully adjustable armboards are made from 5/8” 6061 aluminum for rigidity and grounding. The table can mount up to three arms, any manufacture's brand, and any length! The Table: • The Avenger chassis is three layers of bonded acrylic/aluminum/acrylic with damping material between layers. 3 stainless steel corner posts for both isolation and tonearm mounting and for mechanical grounding (up to 3 will fit). • The 300 RPM, 24 pole, AC synchronous motor is capable of high torque and quiet operation. The motor is installed in a separate aluminum and steel machined assembly • The Inverted bearing features a hardened stainless steel shaft, 60 Rockwell chrome hardened ball, spinning in a phosphor bronze bushing and sits on a PEEK thrust disc. With the creation and introduction of the Avenger and Avenger reference we found there was a large gap between the products in price range. To accommodate those looking for a step up from the Avenger but not ready to take go all in for the Avenger Reference, the Avenger Plus is exactly what it describes. An Avenger “plus” some solid upgrades that make it a step up from the standard Avenger. Using the technically from our behemoth Titan turntable, we have added the Harry Weisfeld Signature Rim Drive motor assembly. With improved engineering to make it easier to use than ever with an adjustable knob to move the rim drive mechanism which is driven by the included Analog Drive System. Additionally the tonearm is getting a step up with the JMW 12-3DR with Nordost Reference wire as well as a periphery ring clamp. This model went through an evolution with the creation of our top of the line Titan turntable in using the same concept of the rim drive motor assembly driving the magnetic platter. The magnets are machined into the platter at the center and do not interfere with the owner’s cartridge. Our methodology is the ultimate vibration filter for an high-end system. The VPI Avenger chassis is three layers of bonded acrylic/aluminum/acrylic, with damping material between layers, locked in by 3 isolation steel corner posts, 3 bolts, and the massive bearing assembly. The corner posts which hold the tonearms (up to three will fit) have adjustable machined knobs giving the user the ability to easily raise and lower the height to level the table. The corner posts connect to the cone stabilizers which sit in a machined Delrin/ball bearing isolation base reminiscent of the same used on the Prime turntable. Building on the legacy of the Avenger turntable, the Titan is designed to handle up to three tonearms of any make or length. Utilizing a machined acrylic/aluminum/acrylic sandwich-design chassis on top of our pneumatic air-suspension isolation footers, the Titan is set to be the most stable, and isolation-oriented turntable in the VPI quiver of decks. A further new design feature on the Titan is the implementation of analog-based oscillators to generate low-distortion analog sine waves for its 33/45-rpm motor assembly. According to VPI, using a regenerated AC-sine wave virtually eliminates any power line-associated noise from entering the electronic signal path. This provides pure, smooth AC power to the turntable motor
